Ennio Morricone died Monday in Rome at age 91. He composed for more than 500 movies in his life. He is best known for his scores of “spaghetti westerns,” especially with Sergio Leone but he also composed across many film genres. His latest work was with Quentin Tarantino on “The Hateful Eight,” which earned him his only best score Academy Award.
